THE M/V ERIK

The M/V ERIK is 105 foot steel-hulled boat, built in the Netherlands for the North Sea.  It’s stabilizers will make travel smooth in the roughest of waters.  The ERIK has been a mothership for the past 20 years, taking thousands of fishermen and women on great adventures.  There are four fully air-conditioned staterooms below deck – each sleeps 3 or 4 people; there are four fully air-conditioned staterooms for 2 people on the second deck, and one large room behind the wheelhouse for 6-8 people.  There is one full bathroom, including shower, on the second deck, and 3 showers and four toilets on the main deck.  The ERIK takes a crew of up to 16 people.  The ERIK can handle up to 27 people on a trip, with normal fishing 3 fishermen and one guide per panga.  For a little extra, you can fish 2 people and a guide per panga.
The galley will seat up to 10 people per sitting, and the outside table in front of the galley will also seat up to 10 people.  Food is top-notch, a combination of Mexican and American cuisine.  There is a bar on the upper deck, where you can get a beer for $1.50, and mixed drinks for $3 each.  Only top-quality liquor is used.
This year the ERIK has been completely renovated, with new paint and carpet in all of the staterooms, a new barbeque and smoker on the top deck, and the hull has been completely sandblasted and painted. New air-conditioners where needed.
On the ERIK, in 2009, we are keeping the price of $900 per person (fishing 3 per panga) or $1,200 per person (fishing 2 per panga) includes all meals, sodas, crushed ice for transporting your filleted fish, secure parking for your vehicle, Mexican fishing permit for the trip, and your guide.  Meals are Mexican and American cuisine.  NOT INCLUDED IN PRICE:  alcoholic beverages (Beer is $1.50, mixed drinks are $3.00, with top quality liquor), fish filleting ($35.00 for an entire week’s catch), tips for the guide and the crew.  NO BEER OR LIQUOR is to be brought onto the boat.  For safety reasons, ice chests must be limited to NO LARGER THAN 78 QUARTS.

A minimum deposit of $300 (non-refundable) is required to get a reservation confirmation on the ERIK.  See the SCHEDULE page for available spaces.  You may make periodic payments, however your fare MUST BE PAID IN FULL at least 30 days prior to departure.   A FUEL SURCHARGE MAY BE APPLICABLE.
